Cute Little Details

Sometimes it's the little things that makes an occasion memorable!

If you are having an outdoor wedding, or a wedding in an old church, one of your biggest concerns mite be temperature. Keep your guests cool and calm with these adorable fans that display a photo of you and your husband-to-be that is reminiscent of the final scene of Pride and Prejudice!

In stead of saying "something old" say "something classic" with an antique cameo like this one! Punctuate your gown with a beautiful little addition. You can find them at local antique shops or on ebay for $6 to $6,000 but one of the more affordable ones will do just fine.

At your reception, display classic wedding photos from both sides of the family! Make copies of them and place them in quirky frames that match your decor and then place them on tables or by your cake!

My New Favorite Thing...

I LOVE POMS!!!

Adorable Wedding!!!

Boutonniere Alternatives

If your groom is anything like mine he wants to

save money. Logan proudly proclaimed one day

that he thought that we didn't need any flowers

for the wedding. Well that's not really an option

here in the real world of weddings. Anyways,

we decided that we weren't going to void the

wedding of all flowers and just nix the

boutonnieres. Realistically, the guys don't give

a crap about them so why have them at all?

Well, I still wanted them to have something

because it sets them apart from all the other

male guests in suits. So here are some

non-floral/cheaper boutonniere alternatives:

Invitations...

So the first thing I am starting to work on is the over all visual look and feel of the wedding as far as stationary and printed materials go. This is pretty important as far as I am concerned because it directs the expectations of the guests and it sets the tone of your event.
For example, if you are have a more formal wedding, you would want to go with a more traditional, swirly/script type invitation but if you are having a more casual wedding (like mine) you can do whatever you want.

Here are some examples that I really like:
